Edm Transmitter

Hi all.

Just got an EDM-LCD-RDS-EP transmitter and did all the soldering. Plugged everything in like the instructions say but the unit will not power up.

Any thoughts? I checked to make sure that the board was getting power and it is.

doesn't hurt to recheck your solder job make sure the solder isn't overlapping each other.

Make sure you NEVER power up the transmitter without first having the antenna attached.

Did you check for ground as well?

Did you install the processors in the correct place and orientation? IIRC, they will go in either way.

Thanks for all the tips. I went back and rechecked my solder joints and one of them must have been bad because it works fine now.
