Ted W
My mega tree is 22 feet tall this year. I have 15 mini strobes at the top for a star burst affect. I am worried about them coming loose in their socket and not working. Once it is up, and I take my boom back, I have no way of getting that high until I take it down. I thought about wrapping with electrical tape, but it comes loose over time. I am in sunny So. Cal so I will see no snow, a little rain, and mostly sun. Any Ideas????????? Max-Paul
Get some RTV silicone sealant or adhesive and once the strobe is screwed in. Run a small bead at the joint between the bulb and socket. Now before everyone screams NO. I only suggest that you ONLY put a bead 180 degrees. You might wonder why only 180 degrees. Well if you get water in the socket from the back side. You want some place for it to run out of.Was going to be a wise guy and tell you to use super glue.
WhitePlainsNY
Make sure the weep hole is the lowest point of the hanging bulb so water or condensation can drain out.
