Running a show from a computer and Solid State hard drive

I am still running a regular 7200rpm hard drive as my boot drive and show computer drive.

But after Christmas is put away, it is upgrade time. And that upgrade will include a Solid State boot drive.

So - does anyone currently use one? Does it make your shows load faster? play smoother? notice ANY difference other than boot times?

I've used a little Acer computer that is all solid state and didn't notice any difference in LOR performance over my mechanical hard drive computer.

Solid State Drive isn't going to give you any noticeable performance for LOR. There are no moving parts which may give it some advantage in environment conditions such as a garage.

For sequencing, a good graphics card would be the best upgrade, but you will still have lag issues. DevMike as mentioned that it's a Windows issue, there are some work arounds, but it's annoying.
