Controller channel staying on but dim

not sure if this has been discussed elsewhere or if this is the proper place to put this but on my 1st and oldest controller I have a couple channels that stay on but dim when connected.

You probably have a failed triac on that channel.

This is one way thay will fail.

Hook up a regular light to it (like a 60w incan). Is the bulb still on dim? If so, like Dennis said, expect a failed triac.

Now hook up the lights you were testing with in addition to the 60w incan. Lights off now? You need a small resistive load on that channel (like an incan c7). That will help.
