mark obermiller
I am new to CCR and Superstar. I am doing the 4 circle display using 2 CCR's per circle. Each circle is going to be 10ft in diameter thus using 1 CCR per half of the circle. When I open the layout screen I have it set as follows, Nbr of CCR's 8, Light type CCR's, Ribbon shape Circle, Ribbon length 1/2 note: this gives me 16 circles, when I have it set to full it gives me 8 circles., and location of ribbon controllers left.Is there a way to set up 4 circles using 8 CCR's in superstar or do I need to set up a visualization file to do this? I am totally lost. Thank You!
BrianBruderer
SuperStar has CCR mode and Visualization mode. In CCR mode the circles are fixed at 1 CCR per circle. To do 2 CCRs per circle you need to make a visualization and import it into SuperStar.Note that you can now have sequencing rows of up to 200 squares. This will be useful in your case. It will be easier to do the circles if you have them laid out as 2 sequencing rows. The top sequencing row will be the top half of the circles, the bottom sequencing row will be the bottom half of the circles. There is an example of a visualization of 4 circles using 1 CCR per circle in the samples folder. Do the following:Launch SuperStarClick on the File menu and select "import visualization"Navigate to the Samples folderImport "Circles_4.lee"In the Import Visualization dialog box, set Sequencing Grid Max Length to 100, set orientation to HorizontalClick on OK.In CCR mode each circle is a row on the sequencing grid. But if you import the Circles_4.lee visualization using the steps above, then there will be just 2 sequencing rows, one for the top half and one for the bottom half. It is easier to sequence the circles this way. When import your visualiztion of 4 circles using 2 ccrs per circle, you will want to set the Sequencing Grid Max Length to 200Hope the above makes sense
mark obermiller
Thank you much for the reply. I navigated to the samples folder as instructed but Circles_4.lee was not in the folder. There were several other examples in the folder though. What now? Thank you!
BrianBruderer
The above is only in the most recent release which is v3.7.0. If you don't have the most recent S3 release, go to the lightorama software downloads page and get the latest release.

BrianBruderer
Launch the Light-o-rama sequence editor, the files get copied there the first time the sequence editor is launched.
