Guest guest
I don't have any singing faces, providing you're talking about those with animated mouth movements.Otherwise I do have singing characters in my display. They are either a regular low wattage lamp bulb, regular low wattage lamp bulb with an additional C7/lamp bulb or multiple C7 bulbs inside a Blowmold character to illuminate the piece better, or are just a strand of incandescent lights in/on a prop.My wireframes are all incandescent, 1 Orange BOO, 1 Purple Bat and 2 Skull faces/heads all purchased from Big Lots, The skulls lights are all a single clear bulb strand. One of these days I may revamp them with LED strands and change the skulls so they actually have a functional mouth like in many of the videos we see of singing characters.I also used Funkin type Jack-O-Lanterns{C7 bulb} that I have singing some parts on some songs, my stryofoam tombstones have either incandescent white and red {in eyes, if tombstone has a face}, icandescent orange and red{in eyes, some have white in eyes or crossbones} lights pushed through them to light them up, and they too, are used for "singing parts" in some songs. So I don't know if that counts as "singing faces" or not, again, as they don't have mouth movements, just static lights blinking to the words in the song to emulate the item is singing the part{s}. It basically helps me with getting ready for Christmas. This year I'm going to add the four monster face's from Holiday Coro. I'm not trying to spend any more time then needed. I'm confident it will be a good halloween show. In that said, I think that most people who have come to my Christmas show connect very well with singing or talking characters, so that's why I lean towards that. Thanks for putting this topic out their.

Do you have any video of you halloween display? That's what I thought, but you never know, so I stated the reason and how I do my current singing characters. As for my videos, sure, you can find all my videos on Vimeo located here at this link:https://vimeo.com/groups/109696It says 2011, tried to find a way to change the heading so it was not year specific, but generic, but couldn't find a way to rename the group name to get rid of the 2011.But this is where you can find my 2010, 2011 Halloween and Christmas Videos, as well as some of my 2012 LOR interior workroom raw test videos.BTW: You can also download most of my sequences here as well:http://sdrv.ms/NiGv0E

jem5136
I've had a Halloween display for two years, this year being my third year, and the past two years I haven't had any singing faces. But I have been thinking about adding the monster quartet this year, but if I add them, I'd make them myself to save some money.I have videos on my website from the past couple years without the faces.http://www.lightsofthenight.com/halloween-20111.htmlhttp://www.lightsofthenight.com/halloween-20101.html

mitchh218
My Halloween display does not have the talking animation. I have flashing lights flood lights, a motor in a storm cellar, 3 fog machines, spiders, a 20 foot spider web, static manikin, 24 headstones custom made, 9 live people working the display (Jason, Dracula, Frankenstein, Michael Myers, and my wife and 4 daughters dressed as witches. I usually have at least 50 people in the front of the house waiting to get candy. Below is a link to the 2011 videos. The Halloween are at the bottom of the page.http://www.hancockchristmas.com/video2011.htmMy neighbor 2 houses down does the singing pumpkins. PMC
I bought a Halloween Mouse Pumpkin from Doug at Wire Frame D'Lites (excellent craftsmanship) and I can do a moving/singing mouth with that and I have 2 foam skulls that I bought from Spirit Halloween a few years ago and I hollowed out the eyes and mouth and hot glued in LED lights, the kids get a kick out if it, thats the extent of my vocal animation for Halloween
