Pumped Up Kicks by Foster the People

I apologize for the rapid and rough camera movments in some areas of the video, but my current workroom is extremely small, so videoing the Halloween display "test" elements is a bit difficult, not to say tricky to get things in.

This is a song I did by request. It's from asking the neighborhood kids what some of the songs they listen too and like {I have to admit I like it myself, mainly because it's got a nice beat to work with!} But I know it won't be for everyone.

I explained to them that I do a Halloween display that the lights are synchronized to the song/music. Some of the neighborhood kids have already had a small taste by seeing my workroom and how the lights are synched to the music and they can't wait to see the full display in operation.

So by popular request this will be part of my 2012 Halloween Display once it gets set up outside for the Halloween Season (my display operates from October 1 through the 31st, 7:30pm-10pm Sunday-Thursday and until 11pm on Friday and Saturday).

Hope you enjoy the video, just wish I had more space and room in my work area to create better, quality video.

Here's a link to the video on Vimeo:

Below you will find the 80 channel Sequence available for download {S3 Vers. 3.3.0} for anyone that may want to modify it for their display, or just to look it over.

Have been doing some major tweaking on this on and just about have it finished. Looks much better than the two I posted earlier.

I'll post the final version here as an attachment as soon as I have it completed for anyone that wants it.

Thanks James.
Version 3 that I am working on is by far the best one yet. But still doing some tweaking here and there on it.

Planning on making another rough cut vid of the latest version from my LOR Workroom once I get it completed.

James, when you post a message there is a large rectangular open box under the text window, there is a browse button to the right of it, you can use the browse button next to the rectangular box to upload a sequence file, a JPG or GIF photo or a ZIP file of multiple sequences, as you can only attach 1 file to a post. To attach multiple files they have to be on-line somewhere at an url that can be accessed, then you can post the link to the file(s) you want folks to download. Although there are some urls that won't allow viewing of photo's off-site, my skydrive won't for example, because it starts with https: instead of http:, for some reason the s, meaning secure on the end, won't work here in the forums, but if the site was not secure, just the http: will. I'd have thought both would work, but I have never been able to display any of my photo's off site from my https secured skydrive area of hotmail.

You should also see this to the left of the large rectangle where the file you want to upload goes: {it tells you all the file types that are permitted to be uploaded, but remember only 1 file can be uploaded to a message.}

Attachment:
Allowed extensions: bmp gif jpg jpeg png txt pdf zip lms las lss lcc lsc seq lee lff lpf

Also when uploading a file to a post here, this is also posted under the box where you can attach files to the messages:

The file size should not exceed 2000000 bytes

So make sure you keep your files under the size posted above, some photo's tend to be larger than that, but don't think I've ever encountered a sequence that size.

Just browse for the lms sequence file you wish to upload, once you hit reply or submit, the file will be attached as they are in my posts above.

Hope this helps. Any questions just ask.

Here's where you can download and watch the Version 3 cut I just finished up tonight, sorry about the camera angles and movement around the room, but I have a very small workroom to work in now, so did the best I could with what I had to work with.

Here's the video donwload link {not sure if it will play on-line or not, it's on my secure skydrive, the url has been shortened, but will take you to the secure folder where the video file is located}: http://sdrv.ms/MaVgRd

And here's my latest and final 80 channel sequence version of "Pumped Up Kicks" by "Foster the People" for anyone that wants to check it out.

Here's the Halloween video of the final version (version 3) of my sequence for Pumped Up Kicks by Foster the People shot from my interior LOR WorkRoom:

https://vimeo.com/43373090

EDIT: sorry the video is so grainy, but Vimeo changes the settings and doesn't give the same video I created, even though using "their guidelines", it seems the vids always come out grainy on their end.

To see a bit better quality video, you can download it here: http://sdrv.ms/MaVgRd

Note: The Orange and Purple LED strands dangling from the window will be zip tied to plastic chains and be part of the lighted fence line to block off the display area.

They will not be vertical as they are in the video, but horizontal, depending on how I set it up, I may zip tie an Orange and Purple strand together to make a 2 channel alternating Orange/Purple strand, even though the Orange LED's are M5 and the Purples are "Button" LED's.
