xmas carousal

wanting to make a small carousal of 3 animals. i can figure everything out except how to get electric to flow around in the circle as it rotates without cords getting tangled, i saw someone of last years tv show that did it. thanks for any help.

Need to use a slip ring. I used two artificial tree spinners in my carousel.

As noted you need a slip ring. You can do a homemade one using a couple sections of copper tube and something that will apply pressure on the tube such as a door latch (just to give you an idea of what I'm reffering to). Pretty easy project and a lot less expensive than store bought.

Considerations for weather issues and any exposed contacts and etc. I've dealt with sliprings but not in an exposed environment. Attaching a motor assembly, gears if needed and so on...so you've got work to do.
