scubado
Nice job on the review! Thanks for sharing. I would like to add some additional info that I experienced with my RGB dumb strips with the resin coating. I made a ball tree and had my ribbon zip tied to hula hoops at every cut point. Take into concideration what you are mounting your ribbons to. Your ribbons expand/contract differently than your mounting surface and may cause separation of your resin. Do not tighten the zip ties tight! Hula hoops is not recommended for framework for ribbons. My ball tree did survive the season and last years record heat, but probably shortened its life. I also have ribbons mounted to green treated wood and painted metal surfaces using the the provided adhesive backs and still holding after several months, no exposure to sun or rain. SteveMaris
Thanks again for doing this.I used hot glue on my strips that are set on 1/2 pvc frames. I had no issues and they all look great. They were all semi sheltered from the weather though, mounted on the windows.I will be using the silicone for future projects or just getting the sleeves if possible.
