Shubb
I am just starting to use the Visualizer and hope I am doing this wrong.I am re-drawing my display and setting up new props/displays.In order to assign color and unit ID I have to click on each fixture and select the drop down menu for color and ID of each fixture? And repeat this for almost 500 channels? Please tell me I missed something when I read the tutorial (twice)Scott
George Simmons
Well, since you asked: You missed something.Actually, I'm fairly confident saying that. It's a large manual - the laws of averages say that you MUST have missed something. I don't think it was anything related to your question though... LOR Staff
In a nut shell: Sort of....You can use reference files (LOR sequence/channel reference files) and that will help you update everything, and there are several tools to help (IE, the Channel Wizard). However, just like a real life display - you have to wire the visualizer.Be sure you have read these topics:http://www.lightorama.com/help/the_channel_assignment_wizard.htmhttp://www.lightorama.com/help/channel_assignment_wizard_non_.htmhttp://www.lightorama.com/help/reference_channels.htm
dgrant
That's ok, then you'll run into something weird like I have. In a single sequence, I have one channel that's wired correctly with the visualizer as far as the unit and channel ID's set correctly, yet the visualize refuses to show that circuit working. On any other sequence, that circuit works fine on the visualizer. I plugged in actual lights to that circuit and it does indeed light up, just not on the visualizer. Some weird little bug of some sort.
LOR Staff
Be sure you double check that EVERYTHING matches correctly: Network, Device, Unit, Circuit. If you are positive they match, send me your Sequence and your Visualizer files (mike at lightorama) and I'll take a look
