Gary,

Nice display and very crisp, I am looking into RGB this year and of course your tree caught my eye. What hardware did you use?

That tree is a hybrid of both conventional LED strings and RGB digital strings.

There's 96 strings of Red, Green and White from CDI.

Then there's 48 strings of RGB pixels, 42 pixels per string. They're WS2801 based, 5vdc.

Those connect to three E681 pixel interfaces from Sandevices.

The E681s connect via 100mbps Ethernet to a dedicated PC running Madrix.

The Madrix PC connects to the LOR S3 PC via a dedicated DMX link to remotely control it.
