Well.. I resurrected my mega tree with a new pole and middle guy wires. Freak storm this afternoon (60mph winds) knocked it down AGAIN! :X

I have a new plan though....
ROFLMAO.. Im sorry... but dang that is one funny thing to read when Donfl posted in another thread "don't take structural advise from Jim" then come in and read your tree fell down..... again...
This year I upgraded to 1" steel conduit, its holding up great..

I don't know it this helps but piling on is always so much fun! :-)

I used 1 1/4" Galvanized steel pipe and mine is 20' guy wired at the top only with four wires. We had 45 mph winds the other day and it didn't even flex that I could see. I have a "pole piece" in-between the two poles. (made by CLS)

I also had to put the star on the top AFTER is was up so I put an extension ladder up against it and climbed up. got some flex in the middle but not too much. (Had someone paying attention to the guy wires just in case, but they reported no visible pulling issues).

Perhaps go to steel pipe instead of tubing? Just a thought..
