John2571
I need to run my cat5 data cable to the other side of the yard but it is across the driveway and the only way across is through the garage in parallel with over 15 spt2 wires. or could I run it directly over the driveway and put something over it? The Pest
Others have put the Cat5 or other wiring in PCV conduit across driveways. So basically just use what you think. If the driveway doesn't much traffic you could also duct tape it down. Just be careful if you have snow blower or shovel.
John2571
If i put the cable through a 1/2 inch or 3/4 in conduit when a suv drives over it would it crack?
The Pest
I would suggest using schedual 80 I think it is the thickest one they have. You might try putting 2" X 2" boards along it and wire tying them together. that way the wood will take to weight not the PVC.
John2571
I will do that. So all I need is 3/4 schedule 80 pipe and two 2x2 boards. and zip ties:P
Jim Hans
If you have 15 cords crossing the driveway I would put my controller on that side and then you are running only 1 cord and 1 cat 5 and I go over the garage door rather than cross the driveway. The Pest
Yes that is right. Also Jim has another good idea as well if possible. Either way would work.
