I "think" i may have two bad cat5 connectors bad too. I assume you are talking about the rj45 cat5 plugin pin on your showtime board? If so, if you could tell me how you fixed this i would greatly appreciate it.
I have not yet had time to look at them...but I had enough open channels in my other boards that I just switched things around...but this is the answer I got from LOR about the problem:

A Light-O-Rama help desk staff member has replied to your request, #757124 with the following response:
If you're handy with a soldering iron, sometimes a quick heatup and a dab of solder on each connection can do the trick.
Be very careful not to create any solder bridges between connections.

If you're not too handy with a soldering iron (most people aren't) then the factory tech will do the magic:

You can send the controller to:

Light O Rama REPAIRS
22 Hudson Falls Rd.
Unit 52
South Glens Falls NY 12803

Include a description of the problem and a return shipping address.
Currently there is a 3 week backlog on repairs.

Let's see.......... some of the 70 count multi's I purchased from Travis a couple of years ago failed, half string only, been having better luck with the Walmart ones I bought 4 years ago, still no fails with them. Last night hours after show ended some of my lights stayed on, I posted problem in the S3 forum.

I got one for you guys.. On my fence line, I have green and blue LEDs... All of them have snubbers.. The fence is divided in 1/4's 1 1/4 per controller per color. Well in the middle of 2 of my green strands they do not fade correctly.. the middle meaning in one strand of lights, the plug end and the end end fade right, the middle does not... and it is just on 2 strands.. everything else is a ok, same brand same everything.. maybe bad strands?
