Guest guest
I am seeking suggestions as to the best way to attach 12 AWG stranded power cords to the CTB-16D. The holes on the mounting block really aren't large enough for 12 AWG stranded to be inserted as is. I tried trimming about half of the twisted strands back to the insulation which left small ends still visible. Probably OK, but looks a little suspect. Guest guest
Dana, I used 12 awg stranded to power all of my boards and didn't have to trim any strands. The terminals are actually designed for 12 wire...jeff
Guest guest
Same Here 12G twist it good with your fingers and go slow spinning it in. Watch out for strands that didnt make it in.
Guest guest
Thanks for the suggestions. With a little tedious labor, I finally got them all in and they look secure without any bare wire showing. I guess I thought it would be a little easier than it was.
