texascop Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Is there a way to select an entire channel - shortcut key, etc. quickly? The only way I have found is to use the selector arrow, click the first cell, hold down the left mouse button and move the cursor to the right or left.
TJ Hvasta Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Don, did you forget the "Shift-End", then Cntl-C?
Don Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Hmm. I know I typed it. I wonder if it doesn't like Let's see, how did I type that. End><"Shift"->"End">""Well, it's showing up in the previews, let's see what happens when I hit post....
Don Posted November 5, 2011 Posted November 5, 2011 Weird, no idea. 99% sure I typed it.Oh well .. yeah, it looks like it didn't get posted. Thanks TJ.
Dennis Cherry Posted November 6, 2011 Posted November 6, 2011 Another way I use to copy a single line or many is:Make a "Freeform Grid" and call it "No Timings"Then select that Grid name, all your timing marks should disappear. Now select a single channel or several channels in a row and do the copy paste. When finished just select your original timing again and you done.It does not matter if your Paste option is by Time or Cell.
texascop Posted November 6, 2011 Author Posted November 6, 2011 Works great. Thanks. I couldn't find that documented anywhere. I am sure it is but I couldn't find it.
aurickle Posted November 7, 2011 Posted November 7, 2011 What I do is select any cells in the row(s) I want to copy from. It doesn't matter which cells. Next, right-click and choose "Select Row". I then right-click again and choose "Copy". Now I click in the first cell of the destination row(s) and press Ctrl+V to paste.I do not Ctrl+C to copy because that then bounces your view to the end of the row. You then have to scroll back to the beginning of the sequence. Using the right-click method doesn't move the view at all.
