LORi P Posted November 1, 2011 Share Posted November 1, 2011 I bought what I thought was a ridiculous amount of candy given that I had about 40 trick or treaters last year. 250 of the little bars. I gave kid each 3 until I reached kid #63, then fearing that I would run out of candy, I cut down to 2 each. I was getting nervous..... when are they gonna stop?? I might still run out of candy! 85 little buggers by the time they stopped coming.Thank goodness I had some 'leftovers'. Funny how most of the ones left are my favorites. At some point during the evening I stared into my pantry wondering if any of the next kids would like a jar of pasta sauce. Luckily, my emergency candy rations were there. There were a total of 127 kids that came by.Next year I'll pack 150 bags and I'll still run low. Don't these kids know that they ruin our pile of leftovers for ourselves?! I've developed a method that leaves nothing to chance. I get candy that I know I'll like and then I turn all the lights off before it even gets dark on Halloween. Works every time...
