Guest guest
I'm trying to finish up my display but I'm not yet done with the programming or running my cat5 cable. Is it possible to power on my controllers to simply test all my lights?
Guest guest
Yes you can power it up although everything will stay off. You can however run it into your computer then go on the Hardware utility to test.Zac
Guest guest
So, in reality the answer is "No, you can't test the lights just by powering on the controllers."As Zac said, you can power it up although everything will stay off.In order to turn on the lights, the controller has to be connected to the computer via the cat5 or have been connected and had a how downloaded. You can use the Hardware Utility to test each unit one at a time or write a simple squence with all channels on. Just make sure the sequence is long enough to get outside and check it out. I was a moron last year and some of my test sequences were so short they were finished before I got outside!
