But at soon as I plug in the CAT5 cable the light goes out and the hardware utility says there is a comm3 error. Any suggestions?Edit: Error 8012 is coming up. Guest guest
Hi,What type of adapter are you using to connect LOR to the PC.
Guest guest
I have an ethernet port on my laptop I am using. I did notice that if I uplug the cord for the computer and leave it plugged into the unit, the light starts blinking again. I am going to transfer my files to my older PC and try to serial adapter. I don't have a serial port on my laptop.Unless you have other suggestions. Thanks for the quick reply.

You must use one of the LOR adaptors. (Serial / USB->Serial / USB)
