Guest wbottomley
Let me ask again. Have you rebooted your pc first?

Don
How long ago did it quit? Did you install other programs?Have you tried Tools -> Select to make sure you are in regular mode? Highlight a cell then press "N" to turn that cell on.Nothing happens?
bob
Are you talking about the Sequence Editor or some other program?Do your keys work in non-LOR programs (for example, Notepad)? What keys don't work specifically? And even if the answer is "all of them", please let me know some specifically. If you specifically click on a cell in a sequence grid, and then hit a key (such as "U" for "fade Up") without having clicked anywhere else in the meantime, does that not work?If you hold down the "Alt" key and hit the "F" key, does the file menu open up?Is it possible that one of your keyboard's keys is stuck down? That could interfere with the detection of other keys.
cmorphew
O.K., guess it does work - I was looking for it tochange tools when I pressed the key, but I see nowthat it simply performs that function w/out changingthe tool.thanks for the replys
bob
Generally speaking, holding down "Shift" while you press the key will cause it to switch tools. For example, since "U" is "apply a fade up", "Shift+U" is "change to the Fade Up tool".
