Roger Leon Forbes
I have repaired over 500 LED strains using the following test unit without any problems. Take two 9 volt batteries in series, 18 volts add two 470 ohm resistors again in series with negative and one in the positive test lead. It really does not matter as long as you have around 950 to 1000 ohms. I am using the bed of nails clips you can buy at any electrons store. You will have to test a couple of LED’s to insure you have the polarity correct then test 5 to 8 LED’s at a time until you find the bad LED. I scarified a couple of strings in order to get my replacement units, make sure your replacement LED’s are the same type and make sure you get the polarity correct.
