Age vs Amps

Does it make a difference of age of controllers versus amps? In other words, would I be better off changing a new controller to an older controller if I could make the amps go down on the old one??? It may not make a difference, but if it does, I would rather do it now, instead of later. New TRA, "SSS", give it your best shot.

Pete I don't know if it would make any difference the controller will handle what it is designed for if it is rated at 30 amps you should have 15 per side if it is rated 40 then you would have 20 per side, however I have no idea what I am talking about so maybe some one with a higher IQ can chime in here, :D
