LOR Unit IDs

My configuration consists of a laptop controlling 3 LOR boards. However, the layout makes it difficult to make an "in order" connection.

Laptop>LOR Unit 1>LOR Unit 2>LOR Unit 3

Can I wire in any order, as long as the Unit ID's are correct? It would be much easier for me to wire it like:

Laptop>LOR Unit 2>LOR Unit 1>LOR Unit 3

Can this be done or must they be linked in order?

It does not matter the order as long as you set the unit ID's correctly.

Yes, you'll be fine in any order.

When you set the ID number this makes the controller unique. It will only recognize commands that are sent to that particular controller. All other will be ignored. I have 19 controllers and they are all over the place so you will have no problem.
