A friend of mine does handyman type work and he had to cut down some tall evergreen/cedar trees. He discovered that the bark peeled off easily, so he's got a bunch of naked branches that he's going to let me have for Halloween. Win! If you have a neighborhood dump site for grass clippings and branches, you may find some branches there that may work too.

I don't get it. What do naked branches have to do with Halloween?

You strip the tree/bush down to the main branches to give you the look of Nightmare Before Christmas. Maybe give it a small base light or strobe to give you a creepy woods feel. I haven't set this idea up yet. Looks good in my head anyhow.
