pyromill
Curious here, but has anyone figured out a good dusk to dawn for running a sequence? I ask because I use some rgb floods at night time and every couple weeks I'm editing the schedule. Has anyone figured out a easy let it run setup so all you have to do is watch transformations take place? maybe two light sensors for a mostly hardware way.. or something to edit the schedule so it auto chances on and off times based on light? cmoore60
Triggers!Use a photo detector to detect the light and use that as an input to the system and then set the input to run the show.Chuck
pyromill
that's what I had been thinking of too... but didn't want to make a circuit to do it, but did anyways. Since I have normal dusk to dawn landscape lights in proximity to my rainbow floods on a dc controller. Ended up making a dc regulated power supply feed from the ac light line to feed a reed relay that in turn trips the contacts closed making the lor board go via trigger all in a very tiny little pack fitting right into the control box works great to turn that ac to dc for control total cost roughly 10 bucks
