I'd die for keyboard shortcuts and/or menu bar buttons for:

- normal/half playback speeds (toggle)

- playback ranges (full sequence, from selection, etc)



As I edit a sequence, perhaps my most frequent actions (other than the tools of course) are selecting playback starting point and speed, constantly jumping back and forth between "Play from selection" and "Play visible screen"; and between "normal" and "1/2" speeds.



I'm glad these commands are in the "Play" menu, but the editing would go much quicker if they were available as keyboard shortcuts and/or [quick] meny buttons.
