Guest guest
Can LOR be used to turn a flourescent light on and off (no fading, twinkling, etc.)? I was planning to use flourescent lights in my "tune to" sign and was wondering if LOR can be used.
Guest guest
Those spiral lights? I have heard you can but if you do lots of turning off and on,etc they die pretty fast.
Guest guest
Brad, I just want to put two regular, old 24 inch flourescent fixtures inside my sign to light it up.
Guest guest
I would think that would be alright I personally don't think there would be any issue.
Guest guest
I use 6' of clear rope lights around the edge of my sign. That fits perfectly around a standard realtor sign and is readily available at Target and many other retailers. Binder clips hold the rope light to the sign nicely. As an alternate, clip-on mini flood lights are available at Ace Hardware at 35w each, also work. Just like LED's, they don't take much power to run once they're going. My experience is that the light will flicker. The solution, just like LED's, is to add an incandescent bulb in parallel. Just a C7 is enough load.
