shempster
Anyone have any experience with adding a message before, after, or during the show? If so, how did you do it and how did it work out?
George Simmons
I record all my own announcements. All you need is a program like Audacity, a microphone and a clear voice.Tip: when you record announcements speak just a little slower than you normally do. The key is a little slower - too much and you'll sound artificial. Speaking just a little slower will improve your enunciation by about 100%.Then, after you've crearted the audio file, use that and create a blank musical sequence. (Or you can light a few lights during the announcement if you wish.) Then insert the announcement sequence wherever you want it in your show. Dave Batzdorf
I too do my own voice overs, no Walter Cronkite here, but I manage. The wife and I did the THX Disaster for the past two seasons; show ender and for the first time I had to create a no shows do to weather sequence. It takes some practice. The Demented Elf does really great work.
