CTB08 Lost

I sent Dan an email but maybe someone here has an idea:

I'm using 5 CTB8. They've been running fine but tonight, none but 2 are can be found. The LED is solid red. Hardware utility can only find two. And they are two in the middle of the chain. I removed the first board in the chain, attached it to the computer directly, and it could not be found. I've done the "remove jumper" trick... When I first started this season, two of the boards "forgot" who they were and I needed to assign them an ID again. I also tried reassigning this board but it could not be found.

Any ideas? Again, 3 of the boards exhibit this behavior and my display is dead in the water until I can get some ideas. No severe weather or or changes that would cause it.

I replied to your email... I think that a hard reset of the unit IDs will help.

This is the one where you

1 connect only one CTB08 to the computer.

2. Got to the CHANGE ID section of hardware utility

3. Set Existing ID to "Any Unit" ( you get a warning that only one controller should be connected)

4. Set New ID to the value you want

5. Click Change ID.
