randy huber
I was wanting to make some mini arches using a 10' pvc pipe that is 3/4" diameter and 5 channels. Does anyone have a way of calculating the lenght eache section of the arch should be?
bwaldrep
ummm..... 10'/5 sections = 2' per section...Unless you are asking how long each strand of lights need to be, in which case that would depend on how tight you wrap the lights.
wglyons
I think a lot of members use 7 sections of lights on 10' PVC, from what I've been reading...Greg
randy huber
I should have been more specific. I was talking strands of lights.

MikeA
here are my arches. This was my first time on Halloween. 10' PVC, 3/4" each arch is mounted on an 8' 2x4 6" from the end so the arch length is 7'. These are 4 sections with 350 lights per section. The general public will never notice 4,5,7 sections on small arches like this and the general public is who I am impressing. 1 controller, 4 arches looks great to me.
