So--is there any need to update or can I stand-pat with 2.6?I'd say you can stand pat as long as you aren't using the CCR (Cosmic Color Ribbon) or some of the newer stuff found in the latest software.Me, personally, I prefer to have the latest versions/revisions of BOTH Fimrware and Software, this is so I can take advantage of the newer features/capabilities when possible.So in a nutshell, it's actually YOUR preference to stay with an older version that works for you, or to upgrade to the newest and greatest versions.That also includes upgrading/updating your firmware as well in all your controllers or MP3 units, if you use one or, any other LOR Hardware you own, as well as software.I just prefer to have the newest firmware and software, just in case I add something new to my display that it supports, then I'm already prepared for it to a degree.
