So far, I only have the home page complete, but you can take a look at what I have so far at....

http://www.winterholidayhouse.com/

The rest I will be adding throughout this week and weekend.

I like that you used the animation as your front page picture!!! Very original!!!!

May I suggest you make pages for your other button links (Pictures, Location, etc.) and just put "Under Construction" on them..so at least the links go to a page and not an "error page".

Thanks, I have added "Under Construction" pages as you suggested.

It was nice looking at all the sites. I have suggestions for those looking to create a site and where to host.

When looking for a host you need to look at everything. Most people look at price but there are more important things like bandwidth, the connection speed and up time. Good things to get are unlimited bandwidth, unlimited domains, and 10 meg or more upload speeds. And there are several hosts that offer that for $6 a month or so.

There are lots and lots of free templates that you can use with your site. Both of my sites were made from free templates. My Christmas site; I changed the header image to look like wrapping paper. Instead of using html pages, I built includes and used div's in PHP pages to make my site a little more dynamic. My personal site uses someting called MVC and the .Net framework. It is 100% dynamic.

Start just like this post did. Check out what others are doing, look for templates that you can modify and/or mix with another template. And pick a host by your needs at the price you are willing to pay.

Good luck and if you have programming questions - ask away I am happy to help

I recommend Yola.com. I've built two websites with them:

http://www.lyonslights.info
http://www.lawnandorder.info

The templates and hosting is free. Then, I bought .info addresses from GoDaddy for $.99 and forwarded the address to my yola site with masking.

So, when you go to lyonslights.info, you are really being redirected to lyonslights.yolasote.com , but the address bar still shows lyonslights.info because of the masking...

Very cheap, very effective, very user-friendly...

Another suggestion for web hosting (and the one I use) is One World Hosting. They have a package that includes everything you need, inclusing hosting, domain name registration, Frontpage support, up to 12 mailboxes and a whole lot more for $99 a year. They are located at:

http://www.oneworldhosting.com

My site is located at:

www.mansfieldchristmaslights.com

I have a christmas light website that when you enter your name on the form, the video writes your name up in lights at the end.

www.messagesonhold.com.au/lights

You can also send a video to your friend's or family with a link to the video with their name in the lights.

Try this link to see what i mean: http://www.messagesonhold.com.au/lights/index.php?rfname=JimSwindler&rlname=Swinder&remail=test@test.com&sfname=Kym&slname=Illman&semail=test@test.com

I'd suggest adding your address to your website so people know where to go. Since Google will scour your text, I would also add your county name.
