lightlight Posted September 25, 2010 Share Posted September 25, 2010 What did I miss?I updated my S2 software to the latest version but my computer is still using the old version. The new update downloaded fine but when I access the Hardware Utility it is still using the old version. George Simmons Posted September 25, 2010 Share Posted September 25, 2010 Sounds like 2.8.10 didn't install correctly or completely. The first thing I'd do is uninstall and re-install. Be sure to reboot your pc in between. Also, don't interfere with the download in any way. Even if it looks like it's finished, it isn't finished until the download dialog box closes on its own. Don't mean to insult, but you didn't mention if your install process gave you any warnings, etc.After installing, always helps to reboot.Open the sequence editor and check help->about...still says 2.8.X, or some version pre 2.8.10?Besides uninstalling, assuming it was a bad install, also download the installation cleaner from the downloads page and run it.
