Brian Mitchell
Seven is the perfect number for me. I use 100 ct minis. I cant afford LED'sI can make an arch including extended plugs for $10 each.
George Simmons
I hate to sound like a parrot here, but you asked. I also use 7 channel arches and think that's the perfect number. And I also use clear minis (for the same reason as Brian) and with their 2.5" to 3" spacing they wind quite nicely on 3/4" pvc.
toddmoon
I prefer using the LEDs. To each their own. My power bill was going through the roof until I started going to LEDs. The price of LEDs keeps coming down.I was in Big Lots last week and they had 22 foot long LED strings for 8.99. The LED are rugged and I like the colors they produce. I know there have near wars over LED vs incandescents. For those that are near the max of their house power supply going to LEDs is a much less expensive option compared to upgrading your power service plus you save money on your power bill. GS
If you have a 8 or 16 channel mega tree, you can cut/paste on to a 8 channel arch.LED or mini, both will look great. LEDs will take more abuse for storage (I stack 20 in one pile)
