Fade From 50 to zero

I am trying to do a fade from 50 to 0 and it wont work because either the shimmer or the twinkle stays on. So i either get a shimmer 50-0 or a twinkle 50-0

What am I doing wrong?

I cant seem to get it just to custom fade without the shimmer or twinkle

Tools -> Fade Tool Settings

Change "Fade Down" to 50 and "Fade up" to 0. That will change the operation of the fade down tool to 50->0. (and, it will change the fade up to 0 -> 50)

Should also mention that "Tools -> Fade Tool Options" will let you set what shows up in the "Tools -> Fade Tool Settings" window.

I know old topic, but I'm having the same problem as the first poster. I can set the custom fade, but when I select "Custom" and "Fade Down" either "Custom:Shimmer" or "Custom:Twinkle" are auto selected and I can not get them off. Any ideas?
