Linda Posted August 6, 2010 Share Posted August 6, 2010 We're making a mega tree this year. I'd like a 20 foot one but may have to settle for a 12 foot one. It's going to have 16 channels, 8 of one color and 8 of another. I'm not sure how many strings of lights of each color it will have but at least 10 strings of each which would be 20 after running a string up and then back down if we go with the 12 foot tree. I don't know how I should "section them off" or exactly what that even means. Is a section when you hang so many strands of each color before going to the next color and how many strands of each color per section would look best. The way I have it set up now is channels 1-8 one color and channels 9-16 the other color and was planning to do 1-3-5-7-9-11-13 one color and the rest the other color.
