Is the S2 Software hard to use for the beginner?

Download the Demo version and give it a try. "Hard" is such a relative term. Some people have no issue with it getting started, and others need some time to get used to it.

For me, I learned the S2 quickly, but I had the demo version of the software for a while, so I got learn the odds and ends of everything before I used the S2 software.
S2 is a lot simpler than some of the other light show software out there, if you try those, you will know what I mean.

I learned everything from downloading Richard Holdman's 2007 sequences. I helps when you can see how what is on the grid affects what you see in the visualizer.
