Marty Belisle
I'm thinking about dedicating 15 channels on one controller to light up the front of my office buliding and just cycle through the colors every 5 or so seconds. Most of the floods I have used in the past are 75 watts, so in principle it would be 5 incadecent floods on at a time. Can one controller handle this load? Brian Mitchell
Easy answer.Yes5 X 75 Watts = 375 watts = about 3 1/4 ampseach channel can have up to 8 amps but you can't turn on more than 15 amps worth of lights at a time on channels 1-8 or 9-16You could safely turn on 4 channels at a time on each side of the controller
Marty Belisle
Thanks Brian, hey by the calculation I could probably double up the floods on each channel and still be safe? I been trying to remember the formula for amps, could you help me out?
Brian Mitchell
Watts X Volts = Amps
