Arches

I am new at this but generally I think most people go with 8 or 9 channels for a 10 foot arch so I would double that. But generally I think you can get 18 inches out of a single strant of 100 mini lights.

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to do a flag pole with a star on top and I thought people could relate to an arch better. I wasn't sure weather or not to use all 16 channels or a lesser number, I think I'll use 15 for the chase and one for the star. Thanks again.

My arches are 20 feet using 1" gray electrical pipe. Spacing on the ends is 12 feet.

I like them so much we are doing at least 4 more for next year... possibly 8 more if the plans work out as hoped.

I was going to go with 2 leaping arches for 2009, then I thought no why not put those 16 channels on the two mini mega trees and have those channels going horizontal (8 channels per tree), why 3 colours (8 channels per colour) go on vertical for that spinning look on both trees. So put 64 channels for the 2 mini megas. Then I look at this thread and I think, hmmmm maybe I should entertain that arch idea again.

Great video.
