MikeToo
I have a sequence that uses a .WAV file and I want to replace the .WAV filewith an .MP3. I have the .MP3 file (i.e. I'm not looking to convert the .WAVfile to an MP3 file). I just want to remove the .WAV file and replace it with the .MP3file in the sequence. Is this doable? ScottyMo
Go to "Edit" - "Media File" and point it to your .mp3 fileScottyMo
shfr26
May I ask why ? If I am not mistaken, a WAV file is just as good as a MP3, just takes up more room. If I'm wrong. I'm sure someone will chime in and correct me. Make sure your MP3 is constant bit rate.
MikeToo
Thanks ScottyMo. To shfr26, I was getting an error when I tried to VIEW a WAVEFORM and I found in a forum thatLOR Sequence Editor could not display a .WAV file and that it had to be an .MP3.... no other reason...MikeToo
MikeToo
Oops, looks like I was mistaken. Turns out my music file IS a .MP3 file already. Also found I can launchthe Beat Wizard either. Same message, "Can't init conversion".... any ideas on what might be the cause?
George Simmons
Make sure your MP3 is constant bit rate and make sure that bit rate is 128.
Bill P
Like George said, that is most likely the problem. Have seen this many times, as well as having the audio not line up with the wave form on playback of the same section. ie: one time it lines up perfect the next time you play the same section it doesn't line up.
