You might want to try making alternating letters alternating colors... TUNE TO:

Might make things easier to read, and make them more seasonal at the same time.

I made my TUNE TO sign and box by printing the info in a large, easy to read font, cut out the letters and numbers, and taped the cutouts to an opaque piece of plexiglass (backwards, as it will be on the inside of the box). Paint the glass with black spray paint over the stencils. Remove the stencils, mount plexiglass in the box and use whatever color lights you wish inside the box. I used 2 strings that had some defective lights on them. A good way to recycle partial strings. Took about an hour and looks great. The letters and numbers are solid and very easy to read, and everything is protected from the weather. I had the plexi so the only cost was a .99 cent can of spray paint from HD.

DownTown - LOVE the idea. Thanks for suggesting it. Once I get the stand complete and everything I will evaluate how it looks...Weekend project :D
