Caleb Linburg
Is it ok to use a non-filtered mini-usb cable? If so what is the benefit of using a filtered one?
cmoore60
The filtered USB cable evolved because of NOISE on the USB line and causing false triggering of the channels.
Caleb Linburg
I forgot my filtered cable and I am using my hard drives cable and the light o rama box will not turn on the lights. The red light flashes and then goes to steady but when I turn on a channel nothing happens.
Caleb Linburg
Sorry I had a serious fail I wasn't on controller #2 in the hardware utility. FAIL!!
-klb-
Actually, the filtered cables take care of an even bigger issue than false triggering. The unfiltered cables, in some cases, occasionally cause/allow the USB adapter to lock up, and be lost to the PC, causing the whole show to freeze and lock up.
