Here's Another Scuzzy Vendor Peddling His Wares on the Forum!

Actually, you'll have to decide for yourself about the scuzzy part. I think I'm a rung or two up the ladder from that, but I just wanted to prepare you for worst-case scenario so no one can accuse me of false advertising or bait and switch.

I hereby announce, to anyone who cares and to all who don't, that a limited amount of ME has just been authorized for release to the general public. That's right - for the second annual consecutive year in a row, like a cheap tawdry street-sequencer, a limited quantity of ME is available for a price that must be seen to be known. (For newbies, ME is a nearly non-toxic, almost clear and usually odorless substance which you apply to sequences that you want to amaze your friends with.)

The Clearwater Lights website www.ClearwaterLights.org has been updated to include links with information and prices on this year's complete line of ME brand custom sequencing. And if that's not enough to thistle your withers and have you scratching in places that usually don't itch, there's also links to already-existing ME brand sequences that are being offered for sale for the first time ever! Imagine... the opportunity to own a genuine ME original, many of which have caused ordinary people to weep openly. Your mother will be proud and your friends will be awed speechless when they see their first ME in your yard. Plus, the ME brand is the only brand of sequences in the world known to be harmless to pets.

WARNING Please do not visit my site and then complain that I'm trying to sell everyone something. I'm not. That's totally absurd and you should slap yourself for even thinking it. I'm only one person and I couldn't possibly service EVERYONE. I'm only trying to sell stuff to SOME people. Discerning people preferably...

Nevertheless, by visiting www.ClearwaterLights.org you WILL BE EXPOSING YOURSELF to things, both blatant and perhaps even subliminal, that might tempt you to buy something... terrible things that will work to seize control of your mind and force you to do something bold and daring. If you feel that happening, don't panic! Take a deep breath and then submit, submit, submit...

Then you need to go down to the local prostitute shop and take some lessons. Mind is always in gutter.

George you crack me up what a great way to get a point across maybe some of these so called vendors will think twice about selling their wares on this forum and besides with a nine inch pole why can't you service everyone LOL

How come your not using the "I lost my job, or my hours were cut back or I am going to loose my house" route of advertising? :D

I am glad you are doing this because there is room, lots of room for people who are willing to offer sequencing service. I am not sure how many customers you could do in a year but I am sure you will be booked out soon enough just like the others.

Now all your customers will be Georgeirites .

Woo HOO! Another pay for sequences thread. Let the flaming commence!

Seriously, I hope that you sell tons of them to finance this crazy hobby. I have always loved what you have done with your sequences, including Pink Floyd!

Does the ME come with a warranty? If ME fails, does it fall on YOU?

and

"Ask not what Me can do for YOUR house...

Ask what YOU can do for ME's wallet."

Both of those jokes sounded much better in my head.:)

"clear"ly tim, you should have some "water" with that. And remember, to turn on the "lighs" before swallowing, wouldn't want you to choke.

Nice popcorn Tim - I'm honored.

Brian - doesn't make any difference how many lessons I get. There's still just one of me to go around.

Denis - can we consider Smirnoff to be "local water"?

Pole size is actually a secondary concern here Don. (And how often in life does a guy say that I wonder???) See reply to Brian. Besides, sequencing bucks are for more controllers, not Viagra.

Zilla - someone already beat me to it. I'll get an earlier start and hijack that approach next year.

Hey, I gave it my best shot Dale. Maybe I wasn't blatant enough. HEY - YOU PEOPLE WITH JOBS AND MONEY. I'VE GOT SOME REALLY GOOD STUFF I'LL TRADE YOU FOR SOME OF THAT MONEY. Let's see if that makes any difference...

Looks like I'm not the one who found Jim's response underwhelming. What a post wh*re...

Warranty? No problem. "If you're not completely delighted, I'll be mighty surprised." There - how's that? I share your pain Nick - ADD has provided me with a lifetime of hearing jokes funnier in my head than they are out in the real world.

Don't worry Bob - according to info I got from my tax advisor just a few days ago, we ARE non profit.

I hate to be late and uneducated, but during Christmas, and takedown, I don't have much chance to read the forums.
I realize from the tone that I must have missed a few things about paying to program sequences, so I did a quick search.

I can understand some of the arguments, but one that has me TOTALLY baffled.

People start posting links to free sequences that are programmed to go with someones else's display.

WHAT does a free sequence have to do with this subject?
Why would I want to download a sequence to someone else's display?

To work, I would need to either program a sequence for MY display myself, or have someone program it for me.
The only thing I can get from someone elses display is maybe their timing grid, but I download some of these to see what was being offered, and they are all just a basic .10 grid with the beats hacked in by occasional skipping a grid.
I personally would only put sequences in my show done by me unless I was unable. If tragedy were to befall me or my family, and I wanted the show to go on, the only way I could see is for someone to program it for me.
If people are willing to do this fro free then more power to em.

When I find I don't have time to sequence a certain song I wanted to include in my display, it is MUCH easier and quicker to copy and paste from someones else sequence than to start from scratch...

Yes I would RATHER do it myself from start to finish...but sometimes life gets in the way of doing this VERY time consuming hobby of ours...

EDIT:

And according to my website stats for January, my sequences have been downloaded over 800 times...so obviously SOMEONE can use them... :)

Borrowing for mothers pre-made sequences is one thing.
Which still means nothing to the question:
What does that have to do with the subject of people sequencing custom for cash?
