cant open lms files

Why can't I open lms files or lor2 files? I am using lor1. Do I need an upgrade? If so, where can I get it?

If I bought the LOR 1 software, do I have to purchase these upgrades as well or are they free upgrades?

LOR1 users were granted a free LOR2 license.

You'll need to email support@lightorama.com so they can get your license converted to the new one. (You can try the license retrieval site, as it may already be in the system: http://lightorama.com/licenseRetrieval.html if not, email LOR)

They just sent me my liscense code but appears that S2 is not supported with Windows 7, which is my operating system. Do you know if it will work in Windows 7?

Yes, technically speaking LOR2 isn't support on W7.

That said, many people here run it with no issues (and I think either Dan or Bob with LOR have said they've not encountered any issues either, but I could be wrong on that one.) Heck, I've got W7 on a laptop, and not encountered any issues running the show.

now its asking for an offline registration key. Know how I can find that key?

Sounds like you may have an internet connection issue back to the LOR servers.

Check out the S2 License FAQ. If you can't get to the registration server(s) then you will need to email support.

I run Windows 7..no problems so far.

It should only ask you for an offline registration key if you've run the "Offline Registration" program. Unless you need to register offline, you don't need to run that program.

Instead, please try going to the Sequence Editor's "Help" menu, and click "Register Light-O-Rama". A dialog will open up and will ask you for your license name and license key, and that's all.

If you do, in fact, need to register offline, then you can get your offline registration key by clicking on the link at the bottom of that "Help / Register Light-O-Rama" dialog, which says something like "Need to register offline? Click here."
