Changing fixed timing grid

I set up a musical seqeuence using fixed timing grid. Now I want to change part of it - is there an easy way to accomplish this?

Wynell,

As you have probably found out, a fixed grid can not be modified. In order to make changes to this timing grid you will need to:

1) Click the "Timings" button at the top right part of your sequence editor. Select "Duplicate to new Freeform Grid"
2) Give the grid a name. The naming choice is up to you. Click okay.

Now you need to change over to that new grid. If you look on the far right side you will see a dropdown button associated with the Timings section. Click that to activate the dropdown, and select the new grid.

You can now modify this grid.

Thanks for the info. Do I leave the original timing grid, or delete it? What happens when I download the file to the MP3 player?

Thanks.

You can do either, delete it or save it. I usually save my timing grids in case I need to switch back to the old one.

It will not affect downloading to the MP3 player.
