rainyoregonchristmas Posted October 30, 2016 Share Posted October 30, 2016 I've run LOR for several years, but just ran into an issue with the Hardware Utility. Every time I refresh the utility it changes my unit id's to 1,2,3, etc. I'm setting them to 2, 5, 9 and 1. But every time it runs, it resets them. One of the controllers even has a dial, but it resets that one to one, though it is actually set on the dial for 9. Is this a known issue? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Mr. P Posted October 31, 2016 Share Posted October 31, 2016 I don't know what would cause them to go all wacky like that but here are some things I would check: 1) Connect them one at a time and see if they come up with the proper ID. 2) Check that your data cables (cat5) and power cables are separated to eliminate interference. 3) Make sure your controllers have the most current firmware updates. I have a controller where the ID is set with dip switches and it does the same thing. Everytime I power it up it comes up as a different ID. I have to plug it, unplug it several times until the correct ID comes up then it will stay until powered down. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
