Manual Triggering of animation sequences

Hey everyone,

We recently purchased the Pixcon 16 system and some RGB strips to use in a stage application.  We've gotten everything working, but we are using these devices to accompany live sound, so programming sequences for an entire song may not be ideal in case there are any on the fly changes by the band.  I'd like to manually trigger the animation changes through the show settings, but it seems to need a hardware trigger to do that.  Is it possible to do this using the software?  I tried using Show on Demand but there is quite a bit of lag when loading and dropping different shows.  Is my only solution to use a hardware switch?
