Guest guest
Hello everyone, hopefully someone here has the answer to the question that has been driving me nuts! For some reason when I create a musical sequence inside the software the music never stays lined up with the points I've added. For example, if I start at the beginning of a song and put three quick on/fade down at the first three beats and then scroll to the right and come back, they no longer line up with the beat - the music is now off from those points. It does the same thing when I zoom in or out, effectively making syncing music to songs impossible since everytime I move something everything changes.Has anyone ever heard of this before? I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the LOR software and it did not make any difference. The -only- thing I can think of is that I'm using Windows XP x64, but I would find it hard to believe that it would cause something like this. Any suggestions and advice? It's driving me nuts! Thanks in advance guys,Jason
Guest guest
I am also using Windows XP x64 (Just bought an iPod a few days ago and found out iTunes will not work with it x64 argghh!)I have not had this same problem. The first thing I would try is using a WAV file instead of a MP3 file. If the WAV works, then something is messed up with the mp3 files.-Richard
Guest guest
it definatly sounds like your using varible bit rate mp3 files. easy fix is convert to wav and resync your sequences. if you do a search on this topic you will get a ton of ansewers to your question as it is a very common problem. there are some free mp3 to wav converters aval. otherwise you need to change your mp3 from variable bit rate to 128 bit. Guest guest
Jason,Is this with the sequence editor? Did you try and connect the lights to the controller (and thus to the computer) and schedule a show? Running the show via the scheduler uses fewer CPU cycles, which will affect things. In other words, the Sequence Editor has a tendency to goof things up sometimes. There have been problems with some MP3 files (usually variable bit rate (VBR) files) BUT those problems only happen when you switch from (play current screen and play full sequence)....However it sounds like you are always playing full seqeunce. Are you always staying with the same play rate?
Guest guest
I went ahead and converted the file to a .wav and it worked perfect! Yes, I was switching back and forth between the entire file playing and a segment at times, however it would do it from that point on even after the file was saved and opened at a later time. I appreciate the fast response! Take care,Jason
