Bob Wingert
Thoroughly frustrated! Currently have one unit, 16ch. CTB16PC > Received my 2 new units last night and went to assign unit #2 and #3. Well the 1st box I attempt to do so, It just will NOT find it. Have went through every trouble shooting stage on every forum. Emailed support but its the weekend and its driving me crazy. Its not a problem w/ computer not USB cables Nor RS485 because when I hooked up the 3rd unit, worked exactly like it was suposed to.The led red light is flashing, its flashing in the same sequence that box #1 & 2 did. Steady blink with a slight hesitation after 3/4 seconds, then it returns back to the flashing sequence. Is it possible that one of these units is bad? Is there anything else I can try to self fix? I hate to have to send it back. Ideas?I meant to add this: according to the troubleshooting guide it says if LED continues to flash then the normal operation jumper is not on J0, the controller is resetting. Well I did check the position of that jumper and its in the correct spotThanksBob
Max-Paul
I am breaking my promise by posting. But you I know and like. I am totally confused by your problem. So let me ask some questions if you will.First have you had any single controller working with the Hardware Utility? If you have, how many of the controllers connected one at a time to the communication cable can you talk to?Lets start with this. I will try to check back often on this thread. Ok, so I have 3 controllers. I have #1 working by itself, I can have #2 working by itself. I can have #1 & 2 working together (32ch). I cannot get #3 to work on its own. The LOR Hardware Util keeps insisting no unit found when I attempt to configure it
kzaas
Without the PC connected to it, does it flash the same as one and two?

What in fact is a hard reset? I did unplug the two (hot) lead wires from the board and replugged, powered off PC, unplugged LOR, unplugged USB from PC. Is there more? kzaas
Regardless of his software license, he only has one controller plugged in.Did you try the hard reboot?
LightORamaDan
If the reset does not work then (with the power off) double check that the two socketed chips are fully seated in their sockets. Perhaps one worked loose during shipping.Another thing to try is both of the CAT5 inputs. Perhaps one is not working correctly. They are both supposed to be checked (as part of the testing, one connector is used to download the firmware (which is obviously present per the blink you are seeing) and then the other port is supposed to be used to check the function of the card.Worst case is that you will not be able to get it working, in which case let support@lightorama.com know and they will send you a new one and a return shipping label for the bad one.Dan

I did try both CAT5 inputs, nothing. I have contacted support and Brian is handling my situation. Thanks for the attempts guys, it was worth a try before sending back.
