Danielwh
Each time I start up my LOR hardware or LOR itself I come up with a problem error " The serial Port(comm 1 ) assigned to LOR has a problem you may need to select another port anyways I do select another port and I can get the hardware to work but the moment i close the hardware and restart it, I get hte same message what do I need to do to actually save the settings that it will work correctly each time I restart LOR thanks Daniel
Danielwh
I solved the problem I went into sequence editor and then went into the edit menu and then preferences and then network preferences and then selected the right com port and then it worked fine and saved properly for when I opened the program again. When you said yes it would have set that as the default port.Do you recall seeing that message and saying yest to it?Also what was the correct port?ThanksDan
Danielwh
in the hardware utility, I kept choosing and or searching to find the right port, It would find it, but the moment I would close the hardware utility, It would go right back to not finding the right port, Comm 3 was the port I needed, but once I went to the sequence editor in the edit and preference and then the network preferences and chose comm 3, It saved properly and now everything works fine
